Leap Year

It’s a leap year! who doesn’t love an extra day in February?!

seamless repeat pattern in a limited color palette and comprised of simple shapes

I whipped up this new frog pattern for the latest Spoonflower challenge. Pretty happy with it. here is the sketch I started from:

hand drawn preliminary sketch for a frog king later finished in Adobe Illustrator

I did the finalizing completely in Adobe Illustrator using simple shapes and my Wacom tablet. I haven’t really grasped the Procreate on the iPad thing - and maybe that’s ok, right? I can keep trying but I’m also afraid that my work will end up looking just like everyone else’s. I’m pretty sure Dawn Machell doesn’t use Procreate and I love her work so much.

of course, this is available in my Etsy shop as digital scrapbooking paper.

an example of what can be done with digital download print-your-own pattern paper - perfect for DIY invitations, scrapbook and journal pages, and graphic design.
pattern collection featuring a frog king or prince sitting on a lily pad surrounded by waterlilies an dragonflies.

The entire collection is available on Spoonflower or for licensing. Pop me a message if you are interested.
